Webinar Rescheduled for Mid October. Date will be released shortly.
Description: Design and construction industry forecasts universally anticipate the continued growth of design‐build to represent approximately half of all construction expenditures within the next few years. In some sectors it is already over 80%. As a result, it represents both an opportunity (and maybe even survival) for many design firms. However, it also represents a fundamental shift in perspective from an owner‐side point of view to a “contractor”‐based perspective with corresponding shifts in objectives, priorities, and risks. This seminar will identify the basis for the growth in design‐build and the corresponding opportunity and risk as well as strategic and procedural solutions to manage that shifting role while maintaining professional integrity andsuccess.
1. Understand the difference demand and opportunities in Design‐Build
2. Choosing between the competing roles and organizational structures for Design‐Build and the insurance implications
3. Recognize and Manage the paradigm shift in Design‐Build
4. Master Design‐Build contracts & corresponding project delivery strategies
