Part 2 of the "In the Zone" Series, Presented by David Ericksen, Esq. of Severson & Werson
David Ericksen is one of our most popular, dynamic and engaging speakers. We are excited to invite you to attend "In The Zone" with him.
Design and construction professionals exist simultaneously on three levels of related and overlapping relationships: The owner client (Core Zone, June 21), the design team (Team Zone, Sept. 20) andthe project participants, contributors, or consumers (Outer Zone, Nov. 15).
While there are similar themes, each "zone" presents unique challenges and risks such that a separate approach for each is warranted. Dealey, Renton & Associates have come together with Severson & Werson to develop a strategic model and toolbox for professional success in each zone. Although the three seminars are inter-related they can also be attended as stand-alone programs.
In The Team Zone: The Design Team Relationship
Project design teams take many forms. In fact, that variety continues to evolve and shift with the never ending expansion of project delivery models. However, whether it is a traditional architect led design team, a multi-prime approach, or a variation of design-build, the reality is that project success requires a team-oriented approach with corresponding communications procedures, coordinated responsibilities, and accountability.
This program is structured on a two-track model with principles, strategies, and tools to manage team relationships which are either contractually connected or unbound by contracts, but nevertheless interdependent for performance.
- Distinguish the divergent design "team" structures for project delivery.
- Develop internal contract and communication procedures and tools for contractually related design teams.
- Develop internal contract and communication procedures and tools for contractually disconnected design teams.
- Establish documented coordination communications to be applied across any project type.
