Successful design and construction projects must navigate three zones of significance: owners, design-team, and contractors. This webinar focuses on the central zone - The Design Team. Effective and efficient role definition, expectations, communication, coordination, and collaboration at that level leads to the most successful, satisfying, and profitable projects. However, each of those elements also holds the real risk for failures, losses, and claim. This webinar will build on claim examples, contract clauses, and project delivery templates to provide a strategic model for successful design team management and collaboration from team selection through project closeout.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify challenges and keys of the design "team" role and position between owners, users, building officials, and contractors
2. Develop procedures and tools within design team from effective communication and coordination
3. Develop contract structures to facilitate communication and coordination
4. Develop contract tools to avoid and resolve conflicts with greatest collaboration and protection of design team
