The Online Application Process

We realize that some of you are new to the insurance buying process -- particularly online.

Rest assured we provide simple instruction along the way. You can stop the process at any point and contact a professional liability specialist. Either call us or have a specialist contact you. If you call during business hours, we may even be able to help you complete your online session. Otherwise, we will contact you later and complete the process by phone.

We think you'll find your online experience both quick and easy. We've developed a short-form application that will enable most firms with fees of $2,000,000 or less to complete this process with insurance coverage bound in as little as 15 minutes. If you choose to purchase coverage through this website, your first year premuim must be paid before a policy is issued. If the size and nature of your business is such that your selection process will benefit greatly from the expert advice of a professional liability insurance specialist, we'll let you know that, too!

Either way, you get a solid insurance program and expert service from agents who specialize in providing professional liability insurance and risk management advice to design firms like yours.

The process you are about to begin is made up of three simple steps:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. We'll need to know your name, company name, size, location and e-mail address. That way, we can make sure you are applying for the appropriate program through the appropriate agency -- and contact you should we need to confirm or convey information regarding your professional liability insurance.

2. Fill out our short-form application. This is an easy five-part application. We'll ask questions about your business that will enable us to provide you with the appropriate insurance program for your needs. Since our application lets you save your data, you don't have to complete a form in one session or even from the same computer. You can start the form and then save up to the last completed page. Then, you can come back to our online application at a later time from any computer. The only limitation is that you must complete and submit the application within 30 days of your proposed policy effective date. Also, there is a one hour time limit to complete each page in the application process. If you expect to exceed that time limit, click on the "Please save and I'll complete at a later time" button.

3. Make your buying decision. Many of you will have the option of getting a quote and actually purchasing your insurance policy online. (When you buy online, your coverage is in force as of the requested effective date. We'll bind coverage, bill you directly, and mail your policy upon receipt of payment.) Others of you may require the counsel of a specialized agent to best sort out your options. In this case, you will be offered a follow-up call or e-mail from our agent. After consultation, we may provide you a quote and, should you accept, bind your policy.
